Introduction
Welcome to the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Trophy Guide! The Trophies in COD BO Cold War are split into 4 Categories: Campaign, Multiplayer, Dead Ops Arcade, Zombies. You can go through these categories in any order you like. So you could start with Zombies, or Campaign, or do Multiplayer first. Whichever order works best for you. Nothing is missable. The hardest part for the platinum is beating 64 rounds in Dead Ops Arcade (in one sitting) for the trophy "Reunited with Fidolina". Everything else isn't too hard.
Step 1: Campaign Playthrough (Veteran Difficulty) & Campaign Trophies [6-8 Hours]
For the trophy Combat Hardened you must beat the campaign on Veteran difficulty. To get everything in one playthrough, it is recommended to start on Veteran difficulty right away. Playing on Realism is not needed. Veteran is enough. After the first mission you can pick 2 skills for the rest of the campaign. For veteran it's recommended to pick "Survivor" (+25% Health) & "Dependable" (Take -30% Damage while standing still). These allow you to sustain more damage.
There are two Side Missions that unlock gradually over the course of the story (Operation Chaos & Operation Red Circus). Each Side Mission gives a trophy. You don't need to investigate the evidence linked to the side missions (no need to decrypt the floppy disc or choose the 3 correct suspects), the trophies will unlock regardless of your choices. Side Missions are not needed for the Veteran difficulty trophy. So if you'd prefer to skip them on Veteran, they can still be done after the story. Simply select a "Briefing" level that has the quest board in it and select the Side Missions from there.
The majority of campaign trophies unlocks automatically, one per mission. There are just a few to look out for that must be done in specific places. Some of them are very easy to grab on Veteran, others are a little annoying on Veteran. If one of them complicates things for you, skip it and do it later via Mission Select on Recruit difficulty. Below they are in chronological order.
- Scorched Earth – Mission: Fracture Jaw
- Firing Range – Mission: Redlight, Greenlight
- Patriot Arrow – Mission: Echoes of a Cold War
- Explosive Finish – Mission: Echoes of a Cold War
- EVERYONNNNNNEE! – Mission: End of the Line
- Mind Trip – Mission: Break on Through (*do the "Obey Adler" objectives on Veteran, replay it on Recruit after the campaign for "Disobey Adler" objectives to get this trophy).
- The Red Door – Mission: Break on Through
- Scorched Earth II – Mission: The Final Countdown
Nothing is missable. You can still replay all Missions after the campaign. The evidence you collect isn't relevant for trophies so you can skip that. Also, there are two different endings, each unlocking its own trophy. What ending mission you get is determined by your final dialogue choice [TRUTH] or [LIE] in the 2nd last mission "Identity Crisis". After getting one ending, replay the 2nd last mission "Identity Crisis" and pick the opposite dialogue for the remaining ending.
Step 2: Multiplayer Trophies [15-20 Hours]
There are just 5 Multiplayer trophies and they are relatively easy and self-explanatory. Get 200 total kills, win 50 Matches, get 50 kills with lethal scorestreaks (RC-XD & Sentry Turret recommended), 10 Squad Wipe Medals (play Fireteam), 100 kills from vehicles (play Combined Arms Moshpit / Fireteam). What will take the longest is 50 wins. If you're an experienced solo player, Deathmatch will make this quick for you as you can win every match. If you're not a Pro at Multiplayer, team games like Kill Confirmed are your best bet. Assuming each team match taking 10 minutes on average with loading times and assuming you win only half the matches, this may take up to 16 hours (but should be quicker for most players).
Step 3: Zombies Trophies [Around 10 Hours]
There are 9 Zombies trophies (the ones with yellow trophy icons near bottom of list). For the trophy Seal the Deal you must do the Zombies Easter Egg on "Die Maschine" map. Compared to other COD Zombies this is one isn't too bad. See »COD Black Ops Cold War – Die Maschine Easter Egg Guide
The most time-consuming part is Six Pack for fully upgrading all 6 perks. Upgrades require Aetherium, which is an automatic reward for completing certain rounds (you always get one after Round 10 and another after Round 15) and you need 36 Aetherium total. So the best thing to do is to replay 18 matches to Round 15, which gives you two Aetherium per match. You can expect the grind to take up 7 hours or so. The only other slightly harder zombies trophy is Craftwork for building the 14 items available at the Workbench in a single match. The crafting materials are all dropped randomly by Zombies and you'll have to play to a quite high round to craft them all. The reason Zombies mode is recommended for Step 3 is because you must first reach Player Level 54 to be able to craft all workbench items in Zombies (Self-Revive is gated behind Level 54). Your player level is shared between Multiplayer and Zombies. After doing the Multiplayer Trophies you should already be Level 54 (or close to it). The other Zombies Trophies can all be quickly done within a few minutes in a single quick match. One of the simplest COD Zombies lists ever.
Step 4: Dead Ops Arcade Trophies [Around 8 Hours]
Dead Ops Arcade is a 2D Top-Down Shooter. To play Dead Ops Arcade, select Zombies from the Title Screen > Dead Ops Arcade (Public, Private or Solo). As of Patch 1.11 (Feb 04, 2021) a new mode under Solo > "Dead Ops Arcade Solo Advanced Start" was added. This new mode allows you to respawn in the highest achieved world (every few rounds), which makes the Zombies trophies much easier. There are only 5 Dead Ops Arcade trophies (the ones with yellow trophy icons at the top of the list). The main trophy to worry about here is "Reunited with Fidolina" which requires you to beat Round 64. Reaching this round takes about 3-4 hours (but there are bound to be some deaths and retries so 8 hours including retries is realistic). The other 4 zombie trophies should come naturally along the way and are quickly done. Just practice a lot and you'll get a little bit further each playthrough. Playing in the Solo Mode "Dead Ops Arcade Solo Advanced Start" is highly recommended.
Step 5: Onslaught DLC (not needed for platinum)
COD Black Ops Cold War comes with a free DLC "Onslaught" right at launch, which contains only 3 trophies. See the bottom of the guide. They are not needed for the platinum trophy. It's just a new match type in Cold War's Zombie Mode. In Onslaught you are playing in a purple circle that you're not supposed to leave and must kill zombies to charge a power orb. After it's charged, the orb will "surge" and fly to a new location. Follow it and repeat the process to charge it again. Every 3 "surges" it spawns an Elite (miniboss). After the 8th miniboss you get the gold chalice for that map. There are 7 maps, you need the gold chalice in each of them (defeat 8 bosses in each of them).

Fowl Five Piece Get a chain of 5 chickens strung together in Dead Ops Arcade.
*Dead Ops Arcade* To play Dead Ops Arcade, select Zombies from the Title Screen > Dead Ops Arcade (Public or Private) / or Solo > Dead Ops Arcade Solo Advanced Start. For this trophy, you must open crates. The crates contain different power-ups or weapons. This trophy is completely random and luck-based. You need to get lucky to draw the 5 chickens powerup from a crate, or find single chickens from multiple chests to string them together. If you're lucky you can find a 5-chicken powerup in a single chest though. The chickens act as support characters, they fly with you and fire an additional shot for every shot you fire. So with 5 chickens, each chicken fires an extra shot. The chickens go away after a while though. Odds are, while you work on the main Dead Ops Arcade trophy "Reunited with Fidolina" you'll get lucky at least once and draw the 5 chickens from a crate. This is what the power-up crates look like:
You can also find plenty of crates in dungeons, see trophy "Dungeon Diver" below.
Dungeon Diver Visit every corner of a Deadly Dungeon.
*Dead Ops Arcade* To play Dead Ops Arcade, select Zombies from the Title Screen > Dead Ops Arcade (Public or Private) / or Solo > Dead Ops Arcade Solo Advanced Start. The first dungeon can be found in Round 4 "The Wild", in the top left corner of that area.
There are more dungeons than that, but this is just the first one early on, so it's great for getting this trophy (also a good opportunity to find 5 chickens for "Fowl Five Piece" in dungeon chests). Once you enter the dungeon, you will see a minimap in the top right corner. Simply visit every single area of the dungeon map. It will change the color for parts you visited. Just don't exit the dungeon via the golden ladder pickup before then (because you can't re-enter the dungeon afterward unless you start a new match). The dungeons are randomly generated and some can be quite big, so it can take 10 minutes to have uncovered the full minimap in the dungeon. Just visit every area of it.
Survive the Wild Escape from the deep dark Wild.
*Dead Ops Arcade* To play Dead Ops Arcade, select Zombies from the Title Screen > Dead Ops Arcade (Public or Private) / or Solo > Dead Ops Arcade Solo Advanced Start. This is an automatic trophy for finishing Round 4 "The Wild" in Dead Ops Arcade. After you exit the Round 4 area the trophy will unlock.
Forever Fated Find your destiny in the Room of Fate.
*Dead Ops Arcade* To play Dead Ops Arcade, select Zombies from the Title Screen > Dead Ops Arcade (Public or Private) / or Solo > Dead Ops Arcade Solo Advanced Start. This is an automatic trophy, it unlocks at the end of Round 20 and cannot be missed. At the end of Round 20 you will need to touch a Fate Stone to finish the level (doesn't matter which one you pick).
Reunited with Fidolina Defeat the Momaback and saved your dear friend.
*Dead Ops Arcade* To play Dead Ops Arcade, select Zombies from the Title Screen > Dead Ops Arcade (Public or Private) / or Solo > Dead Ops Arcade Solo Advanced Start. The easiest method by far is to play Solo > Dead Ops Arcade Solo Advanced Start. In this mode you always start in the last round where you died (this mode is only available after patch 1.11 from February 04, 2021). You always respawn with 3 lives and when you have 0 Nukes you always get +1 free Nukes at the start of the next round. When you die simply select this mode again, wait at the spawn and it will teleport you to the highest round you've reached. No need to replay from the start each time. For the trophy you must finish Round 64. In Round 64 the Momaback boss fight takes place. Getting to Round 64 will take around 3-4 hours. Since the addition of Solo Advanced Start, it's no longer recommended to try this in co-op. The reason being that you'd restart in round 1 if you get a game over in co-op. Solo you don't have this problem as you always restart in the highest achieved world (every few rounds). Enemies also die quicker solo compared to 4 player co-op.
Keep Your Friends Close… Perform Body Shield five times.
You use body shield in the campaign by holding when up close to an enemy. You must hold the button (just tapping it would do a takedown instead). It keeps counting after checkpoint restart.
Combat Hardened Complete the Campaign on Veteran or Realism difficulty.
As with other Call of Duty games, you will need to beat the campaign on veteran. Luckily, this is only the 2nd highest difficulty. The highest difficulty "Realism" isn't required. As usual, stay in cover, aim around corners just briefly to land some shots. If you get hit wait for your health to regenerate. Rinse and repeat. The good thing about COD Black Ops Cold War is that many sections have little to no combat (some parts are more story-driven or stealth focused or have only small groups of enemies). So the total number of actual combat encounters is not that big. The two Side Missions (Operation Chaos & Operation Red Circus) are not needed for the Veteran difficulty trophy. The best skills to pick after the first mission are "Survivor" (+25% Health) & "Dependable" (Take -30% Damage while standing still). These skills allow you to take more damage, making it feel closer to Normal difficulty.

Desperate Measures Complete Desperate Measures in Campaign on any difficulty.
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed.
The Final Countdown Complete The Final Countdown in Campaign on any difficulty.
The Final Countdown is one of the two possible ending missions. To get it, you must pick the [TRUTH] choice during the final dialogue in "Identity Crisis" (the 2nd last mission).
Echoes of a Cold War Complete Echoes of a Cold War in Campaign on any difficulty.
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed.
Operation Chaos Complete Operation Chaos in Campaign on any difficulty.
Operation Chaos is one of two Side Missions in the Campaign. It unlocks over the course of the campaign. If you forgot to do it, simply replay the mission "Cuba Briefing" and select it from the missions board. It's the mission at the top of the board. Note: Decrypting the Operation Chaos Floppy Disc is not necessary for this mission or trophy.
Operation Red Circus Complete Operation Red Circus in Campaign on any difficulty.
Operation Red Circus is one of two Side Missions in the Campaign. It unlocks over the course of the campaign. If you forgot to do it, simply replay the mission "Cuba Briefing" and select it from the missions board. It's the mission at the bottom of the board. Note: It doesn't matter which 3 people you pick as the suspects / targets for Operation Red Circus. You don't need to pick the correct ones and don't need to look at the evidence. Picking the wrong people still earns you the trophy.
Nowhere Left to Run Complete Nowhere Left to Run in Campaign on any difficulty.
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed.
EVERYONNNNNNEE! Kill 25 enemies with the AC-130 while defending the rooftop in End of the Line.
Mission: End of the Line At the very end of this mission you will reach a rooftop. It's recommended that you make a manual save game backup at this point (in PS4/PS5 Settings upload the save to the PS+ Cloud). While defending the rooftop, an AC-130 plane will become available (you will see an on-screen button prompt when that happens, press to activate it). Now defeat 25 or more enemies with the plane's weapon systems. You can switch between rockets and a minigun by pressing . You only have a very short time window while the plane is active (a few seconds). I had to defeat all enemies to pop this. Also don't shoot any enemies on the roofs before activating the plane (because if they are dead you can't kill them with the plane anymore). If you made a manual save game backup to PS+ Cloud you can copy it back to retry. After the plane sequence it automatically creates a new checkpoint and the trophy pop is delayed by a few seconds. Without a manual save backup you'd have to replay the mission entirely.
Explosive Finish Kill 12 enemies with explosive barrels while riding the server lift during Echoes of a Cold War.
Mission: Echoes of a Cold War At the very end of the level, you will have to interact with a hook/cable to attach it to an elevator. Then the elevator will go up and enemies spawn on all sides around you. There are red explosive barrels place on the sides where enemies spawn. Shoot the red explosive barrels throughout the elevator ride and have the explosions kill 12 enemies. Do not shoot the enemies! Only shoot the red barrels, since their explosions have to kill the enemies to count. If you shoot the enemies they will already be dead and not count towards the explosive kills. Also put the game on easy difficulty for this. You can get a few more than 12 explosive kills here (around 15), so if you shoot an enemy by accident you can still earn the trophy. Just don't miss any barrel and don't shoot too many enemies by accident. The trophy only unlocks after completing the level. You can still restart the checkpoint near the end of the elevator ride if you think you missed a barrel or didn't get 12 explosion kills. However, you won't know for sure if you did it successfully until you finish the level, only then the trophy can unlock. Furthermore, it's recommended to make a manual save game backup at the start of the elevator ride (in PS4/PS5 settings back up your save to the PS+ Cloud). If the trophy doesn't unlock, you can quickly copy back the save to be back at the elevator. This way you don't have to replay the entire mission if you didn't get the trophy.
Firing Range Knock down 15 metal targets on Main Street in Redlight, Greenlight.
Mission: Redlight, Greenlight During this mission you will come to a replica of a US town with some metal targets scattered around (you get attacked by enemies here). Some targets are moving, some are standing still. They look like white metal plates in the shape of a person's upper body and a red dot in the middle. There are more than 15 of them in the area. Just shoot 15 before moving on to the next objective.
Jack of All Trades Get five kills each with an LMG, SMG, AR, and Shotgun.
This trophy will come naturally over the course of a story playthrough. You will automatically start out with each of the 4 needed weapon types at some point in the story: Light Machine Gun (LMG), Submachine Gun (SMG), Assault Rifle (AR), Shotgun. You can also grab them from enemies. It should be one of your first few story trophies.
Mind Trip See all seven memory endings and play through all four path ends in Break on Through.
This takes place in the mission "Break on Through" which is near the end of the campaign. You will need 2 playthroughs of this one mission. Once by always obeying Adler, once by always disobeying Adler. This will make you see all the memory endings and path of the mission. This mission is basically a series of flashbacks. Each playthrough of the mission consists of 4 sequences. At the end of each sequence you go through a red door and then it puts you back at the beginning and you need to run through the level again with some small changes in the environment. Adler will give you instructions, he's talking in the background to you. It's highly recommended to turn Subtitles on for this (Settings > Interface > Subtitles > Enabled). This makes it easier to keep track of what he says. He will give you instructions which enemies to attack and which paths to take (left/right). So on one playthrough always do what he says, on the next playthrough do the exact opposite and disobey his commands. It's recommended to do the disobey run on Recruit difficulty so you can just run past all enemies. Obey Adler Playthrough: Round 1:
Round 2:
Round 3:
Round 4:
Disobey Adler Playthrough: Round 1:
Round 2:
Round 3:
Round 4:
| ||
Old Faithful Kill 200 enemies with an AR.
For this you must kill 200 enemies in the Campaign using Assault Rifles. That means AK-47, M16 etc. which are all very common throughout the story. It keeps counting your kills on mission replay. In case you end up short a few kills you can replay some mission to farm more kills.
Patriot Arrow Kill an enemy with the bow while ziplining in Echoes of a Cold War.
Mission: Echoes of a Cold War Early in the mission, you and Woods will split up. You will only have a knife and must go through a dark corridor with some enemies. In this section you find the bow and arrow, just after the first group of enemies. Keep it with you throughout the mission. Later, during "Objective: Reach the Server" you have to use a zipline to advance the mission (mandatory, unmissable). There will be 2 enemies at the end of the zipline. Shoot any one of them to unlock the trophy. The aim will shake quite a lot during the zipline ride which is what makes this tricky. If you miss your shot, be sure to restart the checkpoint immediately before reaching the end of the zipline. It creates a new checkpoint after the zipline. If you restart checkpoint quick enough you can keep retrying.
The Red Door Disobey Adler's order to go through the door in Break on Through.
Mission: Break on Through In this mission you will run the same gameplay sequence 4 times in a row. You can either obey or disobey Adler's Orders. This trophy takes place in the 4th sequence (not at the start of the mission). When the 4th replay starts, you will automatically get warped forward and Adler says "We've been over this already. Skip ahead to the next part". Now the trophy-relevant part starts. In this section do NOT go through the red door in the bunker. Instead, take the left path to the bridge, ignore all red doors along the way (run around them). When you reach the bridge on the left path, a red door will spawn in the middle of the bridge and it blocks your path. DON'T interact with this red door. Stand directly in front of it for about 15 seconds and you will get teleported away. Then the trophy unlocks. It does not matter what choices you make in the first 3 memory replays of the mission leading up to this.
Scorched Earth Destroy all enemy vehicles and mortar teams while defending Firebase Ripcord in Fracture Jaw.
Mission: Fracture Jaw After you fought through a village on foot you'll get back in your helicopter and get the objective to reach Firebase Ripcord. Once you arrive, you get the Objective "Provide Fire Support" and there are 3 marked vehicles on a hill. This is close to the end of the mission. Before you start destroying any vehicles, fly around the base and look for the white smoke lines of mortars being fired from the ground. They are between the trees and may be hard to see. There are 5 mortar camps in total. Shoot them with some rockets. You can take your time here. After all 5 are destroyed, start attacking the vehicles. There are 11 sets of vehicles total, all of them have white main objective markers on them so they are easy to see. Always unload a full barrage of missiles to make sure all vehicles are getting hit.
Scorched Earth II Blow up all trucks and guard towers on the approach to the monastery in The Final Countdown.
Mission: The Final Countdown The Final Countdown is one of the two possible ending missions. To get it, you must pick the [TRUTH] choice during the final dialogue in "Identity Crisis" (the previous mission). The Scorched Earth II trophy takes place at the very start of The Final Countdown. While driving in a truck, you will get a grenade launcher (first combat encounter). This section has a total of 6 watch towers and 4 Trucks. Destroy them all using the Grenade Launcher. If you miss one object, you can try to quickly restart the checkpoint or just restart the mission since this is at the start anyway.
As you approach the last 2 Guard Towers a cutscene will trigger so destroy them quickly. For the trucks just remember to aim left > right > left > right. The guard towers are obvious enough and easy to see. Note: On PS4 the trophy can take half a minute to unlock. Just advance the mission a bit. If it doesn't unlock after a minute, restart the mission and try again.
Craftwork In Die Maschine, craft 14 different types of items in one match
*Zombies Trophy – Die Maschine* First, you must have reached Player Level 54. This is required to craft Quick Revive! Your level is shared between Multiplayer and Zombies. It's the reason why Multiplayer is recommended in Step 2 of the Roadmap so that you will be Player Level 54 after getting you 50 Multiplayer Match wins. By then you should be Player Level 54 or higher to be able to craft everything in Zombies. The 14 types of items you need are crafted at the crafting table in Zombies (Die Maschine map). You find crafting tales all over the map, for example one in the starting area where you spawn. Hold on the table and it will show you all 14 craftable items. You must craft all 14 in one single match! This will take a while of farming materials. The materials are the green and blue scrap that's dropped by zombies randomly. Blue drops are more common in higher rounds, but any normal zombie can drop them. Here's what the crafting table looks like (found in starting area "Yard"):
Craftable Items at Workbench: Tactical:
Lethal:
Support:
It will take a while to get enough materials to craft each of them, so you will have to play to quite high rounds. While possible solo, it is recommended teaming up with friends so you can revive each other to make it easier.
Two Birds, One Stone In Die Maschine, kill the two split Megatons with one shot
*Zombies Trophy – Die Maschine* This is best done using the Wonder Weapon "D.I.E. Shockwave" which is really overpowered. See trophy Carpe D.I.E.M. how to get it (get that trophy first). The Megatons are the toxic giant enemies. The first spawns between round 6-10, the next between round 11-15 (slightly random which round exactly). After killing the Megaton enemy (one shot from Wonder Weapon will do), it will split in half to form 2 smaller toxic zombies. While they are splitting, they are invulnerable to all damage. But immediately after they finish splitting, shoot the D.I.E. Shockwave Wonder Weapon at them with . This weapon is so powerful it kills both in a single hit. Just make sure both of these split-up enemies are close together. Below the first image shows the Megaton in normal form and the 2nd image after it split up.
| ||
Seal the Deal In Die Maschine, close the rift
*Zombies Trophy – Die Maschine* This is for completing the Easter Egg in Die Maschine. It's a relatively simple and quick one compared to some other COD Zombies Easter Eggs. » Die Maschine Easter Egg Guide
Heavy Metal In Die Maschine, forge the Pack-A-Punch machine
*Zombies Trophy – Die Maschine* In Die Maschine, simply follow the marked waypoint objectives. First you will have to turn on the power (follow the blue arrows on walls to the white waypoint, leading you underground). After activating the power, interact with the two consoles in the same area (white objective marker). Then you will need to hold on a purple portal, which puts you in a sort of "dream world" for a short period. Quickly grab the marked Pack-a-Punch part and then return it to the room where you turned on the power. All of this will be marked by waypoints, so just follow the white markers and you'll get this.
Six Pack In Zombies, upgrade 6 Perk Skills to Tier III
*Zombies Trophy – Die Maschine* From Title Screen select Zombies > Loadout > Skills > Perks. There are 6 Perks (Jugger-Nog, Speed Cola, Quick Revive, Stamin-Up, Elemental Pop, Deadshot Daiquiri). Each of them as 3 upgrades. The first upgrade costs 1 Aeatherium, the second costs 2 Aetherium, the third costs 3 Aetherium. So in total 6 Aetherium to fully upgrade a Perk. The way you get Aetherium is by simply beating certain number of rounds in Zombie Matches. You always get 1 Aetherium after Round 10, and another after Round 15. So by surviving Round 15, you always get 2 Aetherium per match. It takes around 20-25 minutes to get to Round 15. This is just a bit grindy but not hard. Simply play 18 matches to the start of Round 16, let the Zombies kill you and repeat. You get 2 Aetherium each match. Then in the loadout section fully upgrade all perks. This should take around 8 hours or so and is the most time-consuming zombies trophy.
Entamaphobia In Die Maschine, stay in the Yard for 15 rounds
*Zombies Trophy – Die Maschine* This requires you to survive 15 consecutive rounds in the starting area "Yard" of Die Maschine Zombies map. Don't open any doors, don't leave the area. You can see the area name "Yard" in the top left corner. The good thing is that there's an ammo crate and crafting table in the spawn area. Unlike previous COD Zombies, you can also pick a starting class with a proper loading like you do in Multiplayer. It's best to select a Shotgun or MG for your starting weapon. The default starting loading at the bottom of the list, called "Containment" is easiest here. It's the loadout containing the Hauer 77 shotgun. It has plenty of ammo and at least in early rounds kills zombies in 1 hit. Surviving 15 rounds isn't too hard with it. You can try an MG instead if you like it better. The starting area is also fairly large and you can just keep running in circles, killing the zombies that spawn in front of you while the rest runs behind you. If you do it solo you also have a self-revive. If you do it in co-op just remember to tell the other players not to open the doors and not to leave the Yard.
Socket-to-me In Zombies, upgrade a skill
*Zombies Trophy – Die Maschine* From Title Screen select Zombies > Loadout > Field Upgrades. Upgrade any of them one single time. There are 6 pieces of Field Equipment n total (Forst Blast, Energy Mine, Aether Shroud, Healing Aura, Ring of Fire). Only the first upgrade on a skill is needed. You don't need to fully upgrade it. To make upgrades you need Aetherium. You get 1 Aetherium after surviving Round 10 in a Zombies Match, and another after surviving Round 15. This can be farmed by replaying 15 Rounds in Zombie Matches, let the Zombies kill you and repeat.
Nightmare at 20 Feet In Die Maschine, kill 100 enemies without leaving the top of the crashed plane wing
*Zombies Trophy – Die Maschine* The crashed plane wing is found in the area "Crash Site" (area name displayed in top left corner of screen). From the starting area "Yard" it's to the right. There is a crashed plane wing you can walk up. Stay there and kill 100 enemies. The kills of your temmates count too (but they must be on the plane wing with you). It's recommended you get the Wonder Weapon "D.I.E. Shockwave" for this first. See trophy below Carpe D.I.E.M. on how to get it. This weapon is massively overpowered and has infinite ammo. You hold with it to suck energy from zombies and press to unleash a powerful blast that kills anything in 1 hit. So get that first, then just stand on the plane wing and kill Zombies with it. Actually quite easy with this weapon. Here's an image of the plane wing and where to stand:
Stand at the top of the tip. Beware that zombies can climb up from the sides too (but not from behind you). You can check your kills by pressing Touchpad to keep track.
Carpe D.I.E.M. In Die Maschine, free the lost Decompressive Isotopic Estrangement Machine.
*Zombies Trophy – Die Maschine* Step 1: Defeat the first Megaton enemy that spawns (toxic goliath enemy). The first one spawns between round 6-10. Here's an image what he looks like:
Step 2: The Megaton will split in 2 halves. Defeat both halves and the 2nd half will drop a yellow keycard on the floor. Pick it up.
Step 3: Head over to the Weapons Lab (one of the two paths leading to the room where you turn on the power). You can see the area name in top left corner. In the Weapons Lab there's a machine with broken glass in the corner. See the images below. Interact with it to drop off the Keycard. This will open a shelf in it which reveals the D.I.E. Remote Control (yellow item). Pick that up.
Step 4: Backtrack to the "Living Room" area (see area name top left corner of screen). It's on the ground floor of the building where you start. In one of the walls you can place the D.I.E. Remote Control by holding . The wall is circled red below. When you stand close to it, you will see a button prompt at the bottom of the screen "D.I.E. Turn on remotely ".
Step 5: This will turn on a trap in the same room (a strong wind sucking in enemies). Have this trap kill 20 zombies. It doesn't cost any money to activate but there's a short cooldown on it. You don't need to get 20 trap kills in one go. After the trap runs out, just activate it again (via the same interaction point shown above in Step 4). It's recommended you gather a large horde of zombies outside in the yard, then walk inside, quickly activate the trap, walk through the wind trap (doesn't kill you, but deducts a little health), watch how the Zombies get killed by the trap. After 20 trap kills, the door to the room where you placed the D.I.E. Remote will open. The wonder weapon "D.I.E. Machine" will be in this room, pick it up to unlock the trophy. This weapon is very overpowered, it has infinite ammo (charge-up with ) and can shoot a blast that instantly kills any enemy (shoot blast with ).

The Fixer Get 200 Eliminations in Multiplayer.
*Multiplayer Trophy* Kill 200 enemies total in Multiplayer. This should come naturally while working on the other 4 Multiplayer trophies. You can keep track of this under Multiplayer > Barracks > Combat Record.
Go the Distance Win 50 matches of Multiplayer.
*Multiplayer Trophy* Win any 50 Match Types in Multiplayer. If Multiplayer isn't your strong suit, then team games like Kill Confirmed are just the thing for you. In Kill Confirmed you can focus on picking up the dog tags of fallen enemies and help your team that way (enemy teams will often ignore the dog tags to focus on kills instead). If you're an experienced COD player and good at Multiplayer, then Deathmatch may be faster and more reliable for you. Assuming an average of 10 minutes per team match and winning half the matches this will take around 16 hours. You can keep track of this under Multiplayer > Barracks > Combat Record > click to see section "Victory & Defeat", there it will show your total wins and losses.
Calling It In Get 50 kills with lethal Scorestreaks in Multiplayer.
*Multiplayer Trophy* For Scorestreaks, the easiest lethal ones to pick are the RC-XD & Sentry Turret. You equip these in Multiplayer > Loadout > Scorestreaks. These can be earned fairly frequently just by doing objectives and kills in a match. Turrets can do a lot of kills if placed well. Always place them up high on a point that oversees the map but is hard for enemies to reach. Combine this with the other Multiplayer Trophies.
Party Patrol Get 10 squad wipe medals in Fireteam.
*Multiplayer Trophy* This has to be done in the Fireteam Multiplayer Mode. In this mode 10 squads consisting of 4 players each fight on one map. You get a Squad Wipe medal for killing the last standing member of an enemy squad that has 3 or more players (don't need to kill the entire squad). You can keep track of this under Multiplayer > Barracks > Medals > Game Modes > Squad Wipe. This is unlocked at Multiplayer Level 10.
Mean Machine Get 100 Kills as the driver, pilot, or passenger of a vehicle in Multiplayer.
*Multiplayer Trophy* You can do this in Combined Arms Moshpit or Fireteam Dirty Bomb. The available Game Modes may change from time to time. The easiest method is to play Combined Arms Moshpit (when you launch Multiplayer it should be in the "Featured" section in top left corner) and use tanks to kill enemies. You should be able to get 100 kills in 5-20 matches of this mode, depending on how good your killcount is. You can keep track of this under Multiplayer > Barracks > Medals (unlocked at level 10) > Combat > Weapons Hot. |
Onslaught DLC Trophies
Onslaught is a free DLC that's releasing together with COD Black Ops Cold War and is available right at the game's launch. It's just a new match type in Cold War's Zombie Mode. In Onslaught you are playing in a purple circle and must kill zombies to charge a power orb. You can't buy wall weapons in this mode. Instead, weapons are randomly dropped by the minibosses so it's entirely luck-based if you get something good.
World Traveler In Onslaught, kill an Elite in each map
*Zombies – Onslaught Mode* Unlocks automatically while working on Go for Gold!. See that trophy below. You will have to defeat 8 Elites (minibosses) on each map for the gold chalices.
Go for Gold! In Onslaught, acquire seven gold chalices
*Zombies – Onslaught Mode* From the Title Screen select Zombies > Onslaught > Private (recommended so you can pick the map) > choose map to start. To earn a gold chalice in Onslaught you must defeat 8 Elites (minibosses) in one setting. 3 Elites = Bronze, 5 Elites = Silver, 8 Elites = Gold. It will show you the chalice grade at the top of the screen after having defeated the required number of Elites. The way this mode works is that you must stay within a purple circle to charge up an orb. When it's charged it counts as a "surge" and the orb flies to a new location. Follow it and charge it up again. Every 3 "surges" (full charges), it will spawn an Elite. This is a type of miniboss and they get harder with each round. So in order to get the gold chalice on a map, you must get 24 surges per match (8 Elites, one every 3 surges). What makes this a little tricky is that the weapon drops are completely random. The gear is ordered by grades. Red (starting gear), Green, Blue, Purple, Orange. Purple and Orange are the best but they are the rarest. Grab those colored weapons when you see them drop. They are dropped by the Elites. There is no way to recharge ammo other than "Max Ammo" drops so you need to get a bit lucky with that too. Another note: Playing solo may be easier for this. The reason is that it only spawns 2 small zombies during Elite Rounds. Wheras in Co-Op it spawns small zombies infinitely on Elite Rounds. Here are all 7 Maps. It's recommended to play in private match so you have control over what map to play (in Public Matches it's random what you get).
| ||
Overpowered In Onslaught, kill an Elite with a support
See Go for Gold! above for how Elites work in Onslaught. It will spawn one of them every 3 rounds (minibosses). These Elites have a chance to drop a support weapon, such as Bow or War Machine (Grenade Launcher). Pick up the support weapon, then go through another 3 rounds to make the next Elite spawn. The toxic goliath-type enemies (Megaton) will split in 2 halves when you kill them. Only killing the 2nd half counts towards teh trophy. Killing the Megaton in its first form (before it splits up) won't unlock the trophy! After it has split up into 2 smaller enemies, weaken them first. Then defeat the last of the two using the support weapon. There is some luck required because Support Weapons are random drops, but they are relatively common in this mode. On your way to Go for Gold! you should get this naturally. |
