This packet is based around Fruits and Vegetables. Each level includes 5 fruits and 5 vegetables. The levels begin with the most common fruits and vegetables (apple, orange, tomato, carrot) and moves to less common fruits and vegetables (pineapple, lemon, radish and eggplant).

Game "Let`s go shopping!"
This is a quiz game for 4 players (or teams). Kids move their markers around the board, answering questions as they go. There are 3 kinds of question cards: yellow - easy, green - medium and blue - difficult questions. Each player has a different marker.

This board game is the second one in the series of "What's In Your..." games. It aims at revising food and drink items (apples, cucumbers, tomatoes, juice, coke/soda, sausages, chicken, meat, cheese, milk, ice-cream, yogurt etc. ), structure "I have some...", numbers. Each student throws the dice (I have a handmade with 3 dots maximum), moves his counter, names the food item and ticks it in his fridge. When a student reaches "double all your dairy products" square, he double ticks the dairies he has already got. The winner is the one who has more foods and drinks in his fridge (students count their products). To sum it up, each student describes what he has got. Extension: students say what items they lack (I haven't got any...) or ask their partners questions (Have you got any...?...Yes, I have/No, I haven't) #English

Intermediate ESL Lesson: Restaurants, Food and Menus
This is the second part of my free primary download lesson, which is why I'm also listing it as free.
During the first lesson, students learn about the types of restaurants, food you can eat there, menu categories and restaurant vocabulary.

The 2nd lesson focusses in on the language that is used inside a restaurant. Students can also make a menu, depending on their age. Students are required to make groups and write a restaurant role-play to be performed in front of the class.

This is a fun PowerPoint where the students read clues and have to guess the correct food. Slides are fully animated so that only one clue appear at a time. Also included is a link to fun food brain break.
This is a great reading activity for the whole class, or you could use it as a listening activity for younger children that can't read yet.
